Upcoming In-Person Retreat
June 21-25, 2023, Chicago.
Calling Women of Color Who Want More
The Guesthouse, Lincoln Park, Chicago
Experience peace and calm. Connect with and own joy. Focus and take up space.
Pause. Such a powerful word that offers even more power when we lean into it. With everything around us, our to-do lists, our familial obligations and more, it is hard to find time to pause, reflect, be centered, and align. As women of color we face additional challenges in how we navigate community and our professional lives. For three and a half days we will dig deep together, calm our spirits, connect with our best selves, and decide how we want to show up in our lives.
Tap into well-being and abundance as you choose your path forward. This retreat is joy centered bringing together ambitious women of color who lead together in community, to pause together, and create strategies for self actualization and sustainable strategies for self-love and authenticity. During this retreat we will mindfully reset and unpack our deepest desires and how we can move toward the vision of our best lives in authenticity and courage in community. Consider this a time of recharging, reclaiming, and re-commitment.
The retreat will take place in Chicago, IL and will be led by me and Jeena Cho.

Let’s create a space together where we are not lonely onlys. In a world where the most senior leadership roles are held by white men and women of color are the least paid, how do we stay centered while being the visible invisible? We want to facilitate an experience that leaves you reaching for your best lives. Stop saying “no” to yourself as you say “yes” to everyone else and the demands around you.
You will have made time to pause & release by the end of the retreat, learned how to let go of the old habits that keep us locked in patterns that do not serve us, received tools to practice connecting to our authenticity and being aware of our desires so we can use them to map our goals.
Our retreat will be hosted at the beautiful The Guesthouse Hotel. Located at the crossroads of Andersonville (just voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out!), Uptown, Lincoln Square, and Ravenswood, The Guesthouse Hotel is steps away from unique specialty shops, award-winning restaurants, local craft breweries, and great neighborhood entertainment.
Enjoy networking and community while tasting wine, afternoon tea, an architectural boat tours and delicious dinner in between impactful, powerful and personal sessions to unlock potential, dreams and connections to self.

It is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States and also Native American Heritage day. For some of us this is a season of grief, loss, pain and/or missing loved ones. For others, it is a time of celebration of gratitude or the resilience of our ancestors despite the odds. So today we invite you to mindfully pause, take a breath, and exhale.
“We walk (and sometimes even run) around the blocks of our lives over and over, obeying rules that are written, implied, or simply imagined, getting hooked by ways of being and doing that don’t serve us.” Susan David, Ph.D. Whether it is our personal lives, professional lives, relationships we can find ourselves in patterns that do not lead us where we want to go.
Jeena Cho and I are creating a space where women of color professionals can pause, reflect, set intentions and move into 2023 with clarity and purpose. Our focus is on weaving mindfulness and restoring authenticity and power into how we live, love and work.
Here are three reasons to sign up:
1. The point of life is happiness - The Dalai Lama.
2. Many of the things we subscribe to in order to “achieve” block our instincts, our authenticity, our deep desires and our happiness.
3. We CAN connect our happiness to our goals mapped by our desires and authentic selves. We can own joy. We can thrive. And we can begin to unlock that process in this mini virtual retreat.
Please join us for a virtual retreat!
